En-route charges:

The en-route unit rate for 2010, as approved by the EUROCONTROL Enlarged Commission, amounts to PLN 165,87 (EUR 39,93) + EUR 0,13*

* EUR 0,13 is administrative unit rate added to the national unit rate. It constitutes the remuneration for the costs incurred by EUROCONTROL (Central Route Charges Office) in operating the route charges system.

The rate shall be recalculated every month using the average exchange rates for the preceding month (monthly average of the "Closing Cross Rate" calculated by Reuters based on daily BID rate). Current en-route unit rate can be found on the EUROCONTROL/CRCO web page:

Terminal charges:

In the year 2010 there is a single terminal charging zone for all airports in Poland:

  • Warszawa im. Fryderyka Chopina airport (EPWA)
  • Gdańsk im. Lecha Wałęsy airport (EPGD)
  • Kraków - Balice airport (EPKK)
  • Bydgoszcz - Szwederowo airport (EPBY)
  • Katowice - Pyrzowice airport (EPKT)
  • Łódź im. Władysława Reymonta air port (EPLL)
  • Poznań - Ławica airport (EPPO)
  • Rzeszów - Jasionka airport (EPRZ)
  • Szczecin - Goleniów airport (EPSC)
  • Wrocław - Strachowice airport (EPWR)
  • Zielona Góra - Babimost airport (EPZG)

Terminal unit rate applied as from 1st January 2010 amounts to PLN 867,88.

Exemptions:

The following flights shall be exempted from air navigation charges (terminal and en-route) in the Polish airspace:

  1. Performed under Visual Flight Rules (VFR).
  2. Mixed - where a part of the flight is performed under Visual Flight Rules (VFR) and the remaining part is performed under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) - for the part of the flight performed in the Polish airspace exclusively under VFR rules.
  3. Performed by aircraft of which the maximum take-off weight is less than 2 tons.
  4. Performed exclusively for the transport, on official mission, of the reigning monarch and his immediate family, head of state, head of government and government ministers; in all cases the flight purpose must be confirmed by the appropriate flight status indicator or remark on the flight plan.
  5. Search and rescue, authorized by a competent SAR coordination body.
  6. Military performed by Polish military aircraft or military aircraft of a country where flights performed by Polish military aircraft are exempted from the air navigation charges.
